GALUNGAN : Pesan Universal dari Tradisi Lokal

TRADISI beragama Hindu di Bali wujudnya sangat lokal Bali. Tetapi, di dalamnya terkandung nilai-nilai moral yang universal. Galungan, misalnya, yang segera akan dirayakan umat Hindu, dapat dilaksanakan di mana saja dan kapan saja. Nilai yang dikandungnya tidak terbatas pada ruang dan waktu tertentu saja. Nilai yang universal diwujudkan dengan budaya lokal, agar nilai global universal itu lebih mudah diaktualkan dalam kehidupan sosial yang kontekstual dengan perkembangan ruang dan waktu. Nilai-nilai moral yang universal dalam perayaan Galungan tersurat dan tersirat dalam teks kitab sastra. Teks penjelasan Galungan tersurat dalam Lontar Sunarigama. Dalam teksnya ada yang tersurat pesan moral yang universal dan ada juga yang tersurat untuk aplikasi lokal. Galungan pada hakikatnya untuk mensinergikan kekuatan suci yang ada dalam diri setiap manusia untuk membangun jiwa yang terang untuk menghapuskan kekuatan gelap (adharma) dalam diri.
